The Schifters

Storey Schifter, a blogger for Teen Vogue, just so happends to be the extremely lucky child of Timothy Schifter, the CEO of Le Sports Sac and Vogue writer Helen Schifter. Does that mean free bags?....you think he might be looking into adoption?

here's what he says about business

In order to be successful," Tim says of his business, "you have to know the customer you're designing for. You can't be all things to all people." That's where fatherhood and the influence of his fashion-conscious wife come in. "Designing with Helen in mind keeps me focused and consistent," he says. "Helen has very high standards, and I'll often bring home bags we're developing to get her feedback. She might say, 'That would be a great bag if the shoulder strap were six inches shorter' or 'It just needs one more pocket on the outside to slip a cell phone in.' She understands that good design is in the details." (quote from here)

I hope my wedding announcement can be this FABULOUSS!

Mrs. Schifter, a fashion writer for Vogue magazine, graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Amherst College. Her father is the president of H. L. Imports, an international trading company in Arlington, and is a consultant to the Du Pont Company. The bride is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Yu-Chiao of Shanghai. Mr. Lee was a noted calligrapher.
Mr. Schifter, a graduate of the Collegiate School and Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif., is the vice president of LeSportsac, a handbag and luggage company in New York founded by his father and his stepmother, Sandra Stetson Schifter. He is a grandson of Jean Ware Blake of Stamford, Conn., who is the widow of the Rev. Dr. Eugene Carson Blake, a general secretary of the World Council of Churches. (from here)
